The classical silversmithing of Taxco has been disappearing in recent decades
because the Taxco silversmiths have been forced to work cheaper and cheaper:
thus the historical, cultural and economic importance of the alliance of the rural
womens' artisans cooperative of Tecalpulco and the master original model maker

Artcamp is an artisan group from the traditional handcrafts producer village of Tecalpulco.
Municipality of Taxco, Guerrero, México. Not only an expert maker of specialized jewelry,
the Artcamp initiative also involves obtaining donations for the local public Hospital
and working with the village water commission to create a better and healthier environment.
