1. Bracelets. The breakthrough of this year has definitely been the improvement to the half roundwire adjustable bracelet highlighting the introduction of the white buffalo turquoise. The thicker half-round and the increase in length makes a huge difference in saleability...the inlay stone is secondary to this innovation....this adds easily 50% to the likely retail price. The floral solder-ons also work, adding to the weight and give it more substance. A huge improvement and truly a breakthrough development!

2. The Leather Bracelets make a fine addition to one's full range peddling line. Starting at ten dollars to 35 or 45 is a good range. My own selection usually includes the following tianguis items; bracelete loco, barra adult and child sizes. 3 metal peyisco is perennial best seller and dream catcher slave bracelets. These are the low range items and the best sellers volume-wise. In the higher range I have media canya adjustable bracelets similar to the mosaic adjustable but with a slightly thicker wire and replacing the geometric centres with butterfly derived from the original Jose Ramirez 3-D abalone butterfly, hummingbird, dragonfly or turtle centres. Of these the butterfly and dragonfly are the bestsellers retail, the turtles are a strong trading post wholesale item.Another higher-end bracelet which is a standard is the leather bracelet on half round brass with twisted trimetal centres. Still produced by Callejon hippies Jorge Mayta and Carlos Bahena.

2. Earrings. Cornerstone product; the multi shaped pewter cast mosaic inlay earring. The color scheme in mosaic is usually harmonious and sophisticated, disciplined.I would say for me the turquoise green blue range; the coral red pink range and the sugalite purple red range are the most popular. The white turquoise dual tone or solid was an immediate success. I find the retail comfort zone for the stone mosaic earrings to be about is about twenty dollars.

3. In a peddling situation, I supplement with alpaca calada abulon earrings in various shapes and a custom made line featuring dragonfly, turtle, hummingbird; to mention the best-sellers and various classic alpaca shapes; aracada, goa, redondo with more innovative inlay, colorful stones with bone, coco, shell combos.

4. Pendants. This past year the pendant, especially the larger and medium mosaics have come into their own. The larger surface to inlay vis a vis the earrings showcases the beauty and artistic intent of the mosaic. Equally important, it provides the ensemble 'set', a natural advnatage for the vendor.... turning one sale into a double. The tonally harmonic colors that correspond to the earrings makes a subliminal suggestion to the customer to purchase a set. The interplay of colors and shapes in a large single display at a show for example becomes mandalic in effect.

5. Necks. The Introduction of inexpensive slipknot and kid glove leather cordage to display and wear the pendants was another positive introduction in 2014 making a big difference on the retail level, as, for the long term, retail-level sell-through is crucial; makes it easy as possible for people inexperienced in retail to sell this jewelry.
