HISTORY

Our community has been making handcraft production long before we were born.

For the story would have to return to the days of our fathers and grandfathers.

The town of Taxco is one of the most concentrated in the Americas craft centers. We are farmers from villages near Taxco, mainly Tecalpulco and Taxco El Viejo.

In the 70's and 80's our people think abalone jewelry placed in metal alpaca.

The floral inlays were well accepted and left for everyone.

In those years nobody knew how good we were; hundreds of families worked this and buyers came from everywhere to buy our handmade jewelry. The markets collapsed in 1990 and suddenly our parts were no longer considered valuable. We did not understand was happening and wrestled looking for ways to continue working the way we knew and started looking for new forms of production, new styles and new customers.
