The Right Colors Can Make You Money I
A new client walks in the door with money to spend.
She hesitates, and cannot make up her mind because she is concerned about choosing pieces in the right color.
What do you tell her?
First of all, ask a few obvious questions. Is the jewelry for her?
If so, look at her coloring. What is she wearing?
All colors are made up of three primary ones - red, blue and yellow. Yellow is warm, blue is cool and red is "in-between". When you add yellow you get a warmer tone, when you add blue you get a cooler tone. Human beings can also be classified as have either "warm' or "cool" undertones, which never fade with age or even tanning. Skin, hair, and eyes react to the colors around them, absorbing colors that match the undertone and reflect colors that oppose it. That is why some brides look great in white but others look better in ivory.
Wearing the "right" colors can make your customer's eyes sparkle, give her skin a healthy, flawless appearance and make her look younger. She will probably come back and buy more if she is happy with the way she looks. Wearing the "wrong" colors can maker her hair, skin and eyes look dull and lifeless and will magnify her skin imperfections. She won't be happy and neither will you!
So, is she wearing the "right" colored clothing? You can carefully (and diplomatically!) suggest ways to enhance her coloring, if she is not.
